Guild Expedition Strategy

Balrog format (Monday to Sunday)

Understanding Balrog's gem and skill slots will allow you to prepare for your battle against it. While the usual effective strategy is to use poison on it (300 damage x 3 turns), it is better to focus on attack instead. Of course, it depends on your dragon's ability. Anyway, here are a few tips to battle him:

1. The first dragon should be a tank with high def and/or high hp. Although def is preferred. Make sure it has iron shield for its first skill. The second is either a hammer of oblivion or barrier of god. If put on the first dragon, hammer stops a lot of balrog's casting. The longer the tank lasts, the higher the damage you can deal to it. The tank should preferably be a chaos dragon.

Note: An alternate set of skill for tank dragon is speedy movement and fast move. If you combine it with a high def, your dragon can last longer. This will not work on Friday format though because of Bone Crush.

2. The second dragon can either be an HP or ATK dragon. Healing light is a preferred skill here although the chance of activation is very low (based on experience). The other skills, you can choose are piercing wound and buff skills such as instinct of beast, attack order and protection of nature.

3. The third dragon is your main attacker so you should put an ATK dragon there. Preferably a holy dragon so you can take advantage of elemental advantage. Put a piercing wound and an Identify weakness skill. Piercing wound +10 really hurts.

Another important skill to have is bone crush to prevent block and dodge.

So that's that, you can share your strategy too...and wish you all the luck you can have :)
